Process Mining is a discipline that aims to discover, monitor, and improve business processes by analyzing the record of process events stored in information systems.
Why is process efficiency so important?
Currently, organizations’ business processes are supported by information systems that record valuable data regarding responsible parties, activities, events, times, and variables associated with process execution. This information can be leveraged with data mining techniques, more specifically, process mining, to uncover the reality of how processes are being executed and thus make decisions to improve them.
