Operational Plan
Integrating resources to achieve strategic objectives
The Annual Operating Plan (AOP) also details how to achieve what is defined in the strategic plan. Furthermore, it will specify the annual contribution each area of the company should make to reach the overall goals.
Likewise, the company’s needs in terms of infrastructure, human and financial resources necessary to achieve the goals and the normal functioning of the organization must be reflected, that is, all those aspects related to the ordinary activity of the company and that may affect its effectiveness and have consequences (if not addressed) for the fulfillment of the objectives defined in the strategic plan.
Operational Plan Aligned with the Strategy
The stages we developed to achieve an operational plan aligned with the company’s strategy are:
Map of operational objectives
Map of operational objectives by area that define their contribution to achieving the overall objectives. These objectives are the results expected to be achieved within a year.
Operational indicators
Definition of operational indicators to measure the performance of the objectives defined in each area.
Goal setting
Setting goals will involve taking on challenges and commitments in each area, motivating the members of the organization to achieve effective execution.
Project formulation
Formulation of project proposals, which define how the operational objectives will be achieved in each area.
Project evaluation and prioritization
Evaluate and filter projects according to prioritization criteria that will be established, such as: time, impact on the objective, cost, etc.
Project development
Develop the projects, detailing the activities, responsible parties, deliverables, milestones, dates, as well as the human, material and financial resources.
Project Costing
Costing of each of the projects that will form part of the operating budget.
